THE ROYAL LAW:
THE SECOND COMMANDMENT
And the second is like unto it, namely this:
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself".
There is no other commandments greater than these two.
If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture,
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself",
you do well.
Love works no ill to his neighbor.
Therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
Owe no man anything, but to love one another.
For he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this:
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself".
Hatred stirs up strifes, but love covers all sins.
